Preserving Boston History, While Increasing Sustainability

For the last 50 years, the Boston Landmark Commission has worked to preserve the historic culture of Boston. Now, it’s creating a sustainable future for the city. 

The commission has spent the past several years approving upgrades to historic buildings, such as modernizedsolar panels, water systems, and energy-efficient windows that don’t take away from the buildings’ original structure.
