Redesigning the Symbols of Massachusetts

Massachusetts is changing its historic emblems — the flag, seal, and motto — and state leaders have sought the public’s input in reimagining the symbols that tell the state’s complete history.

So far, more than 1,100 ideas have flooded in, and many of them reflect the state’s rich cultural diversity.
